FAQs

What is the dress code?

For Friday night, you can keep it pretty casual! Cooks & Soldiers has a slightly elevated vibe, but there’s no specific dress code to adhere to. Wear what’s comfortable!

For the reception on Saturday, we’re asking folks to dress semi-formal. Something that feels a little fancy and celebratory, but you can leave the tie at home. If you’re still unsure about what to wear, you can always ask us.

Can you accommodate my dietary needs?

We’ll do our best to, yes! There’s a section on our RSVP form for you to let us know about your allergies and restrictions—please be sure to fill this out, as that’s how we’ll document any needs to discuss with our venues. We will have vegetarian options at both events and will absolutely note your allergies. Anything else, we’ll do our best to accommodate.

What’s the food situation going to be like?

Cooks & Soldiers is a tapas restaurant, so for Friday we’ll have a mix of passed tapas and a couple of buffet stations with meat and vegetables. It should be plenty of food to count as a full dinner, and yes, we will have the bikini (iykyk and if you don’t, you will).

For Saturday at Lucian, we’ll start off with passed hors d'oeuvres while folks are arriving, before doing a seated, 3-course dinner plus dessert. For dinner, the courses will be a salad and a pasta that we’ve chosen (we have great taste, don’t worry) and a protein you’ll choose for yourself when you RSVP.

Both events are open bar—Cooks & Soldiers will pour you pretty much anything you want, and Lucian will be wine-heavy but will have a limited selection of cocktails and beer as well. And of course, we’ll have non-alcoholic options too.

Did you say there was an after party?

Sure did! We have a (very large) suite at the Kimpton Shane, and we’ll be opening it up for folks to come hang after dinner since we aren’t doing the usual dance party reception. We’ll have beer, wine, and sparkling water, maybe some snacks, maybe some cards or games. Definitely ABBA on the playlist. Come hang! The hotel address is on the Details page, and there’s valet parking if you aren’t taking a rideshare.

Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?

Yep, just reach out to Cassie or David — either of us are happy to answer anything you need!
